Your name
If you register for warranty notifications, you may choose to input your name into the system. This is an optional decision and will only be used to personalise your message greeting and can be used to to help us identify your details. We will use customer # in our database if you do not provide us your name.
If you lodge a support case with us, we will ask for your name as a requirement. This is so that if you call back about an issue, we will ask your name so we can find out the issue and get back on track.
If you book an in-person appointment, your name will be used in accordance with Boondall PC Repair policies.
Your computer's serial number
Before we sell any computer, its serial number will be added to our database. This is to prevent fraudulent warranty claims against devices we did not sell.
Your computer's make and model
Before we sell any computer, we add the computer's make and model to our database alongside its serial. This is to prevent fraudulent claims against devices we did not sell.
Package tracking
We will track your computer if it is being posted. We will also provide you with the tracking number if we are able to. We will monitor when the laptop is collected to begin with the warranty period. If the laptop is unable to be tracked to its final destination, we will add an extra month onto the warranty to ensure our customers do not miss out on their warranty.
We use Australia Post for all packages in Australia. Details such as your name, address, phone number (if provided) and package contents will be given to Australia Post, other postal services (if outside Australia) and Customs Border Patrol in accordance with their policies.
Your email address
If you register for warranty notifications, you may choose to input your email address into the system. This is an optional decision and will only be used to send you notifications about your warranty. We will send an email 1 month before warranty expiry, 1 week before warranty expiry, 1 day before warranty expiry and on the day of warranty expiry.
If you book an in-person appointment, your email address will be used in accordance with Boondall PC Repair policies.
Your phone number
If you register for warranty notifications, you may choose to input your email address into the system. This is an optional decision and will only be used to send you notifications about your warranty. We will send a text 1 month before warranty expiry, 1 week before warranty expiry, 1 day before warranty expiry and on the day of warranty expiry.
If you lodge a support case with us, we may ask for your phone number. It is optional to give this to us, however it is recommended. This is so that if you get disconnected from the call due to technical reasons, we will be able to call back.
If you book an in-person appointment, your phone number will be used in accordance with Boondall PC Repair policies.
